Christian Academy in Mozambique (CAM)
CAM School was the first OMS (One Mission Society) ministry in Mozambique in 1996. It started Sept. 12th with 12 missionary kids and over the years has grown to where we ended the 2017-2018 school year with 109 students. In January 2011 we purchased property in Machava and began building a school. In August 2011 we moved the school to the new location. In 2013 we built four more classrooms and in 2014-15 built an auditorium with basketball court, library, kitchen, science lab, music room, conference room, and drama stage. We now have enough room for 195+ students and plenty of playground space for sports and activities. We have 13 levels of classes and 18 nationalities represented in our school. We truly are a very international school. Christian Academy in Mozambique (CAM) is a Christian International school. We use a variety of curriculum including A Beka Bible based curriculum, ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International), Oxford, and a variety of other materials. We are an academic school and when students graduate they are ready to apply to university.
We feel it is important to educate the whole child - academically, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially. The atmosphere at the school is pleasant and calm, and our staff are kind and nurturing. A family atmosphere is encouraged and good morals are taught daily. Our core values are developing Christian Character, Creative Thinkers and Global Citizens.
